Please read these terms carefully before booking your trek with us.
Last updated: February 2025. By using our website and booking our treks, you agree to these terms and conditions.
A booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit (as specified at the time of booking) and you receive written confirmation from us. The balance is due before the start of the trek, as communicated in your confirmation. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking at our discretion.
Deposit amounts and payment schedules will be clearly stated at the time of booking. Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, and other methods we may specify. All prices are in USD or NPR unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any bank or transfer fees.
Cancellation must be notified to us in writing. Refund terms are as follows: cancellations made more than 30 days before departure may receive a partial refund minus administrative and non-refundable costs; between 15–30 days, a portion of the payment may be forfeit; less than 15 days before departure, no refund is typically given. Specific trek terms may vary and will be stated in your booking confirmation.
We may cancel a trek due to force majeure (e.g. natural disaster, political unrest, safety concerns), insufficient bookings, or other operational reasons. In such cases, we will offer an alternative date, an alternative trek, or a full refund. We are not liable for additional costs you may have incurred (e.g. flights, visas).
Trekking at altitude involves risks. You declare that you are in good physical condition and have disclosed any relevant medical conditions. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering trekking, evacuation, and repatriation. You participate at your own risk and must follow the guide's instructions at all times.
We may modify itineraries due to weather, trail conditions, safety, or other factors. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund unless the trek is cancelled entirely. We will make every effort to provide an equivalent experience.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Poon Hill Trek and its representatives shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, or expense arising from your participation in our treks, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. You waive any claims beyond the scope of these terms.
You agree to behave responsibly, respect local culture and environment, and follow the guide's and company's instructions. We reserve the right to exclude you from the trek without refund if your behaviour is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nepal.
